Farm Fresh Delivery
Cape Fear Turf Farm Inc. offers courteous and friendly delivery from our farm to you! With a fleet of company owned trucks and experienced drivers, we can deliver farm fresh sod with each delivery. All of our trucks carry a forklift mounted on the back and offer a piggyback lift service at no additional fee to offload sod directly on your property within 90-100 feet of the road way. The forklift is 8' feet wide and doesn't do well in muddy areas, very sandy areas, or steep hills. A general rule of thumb is that if you could easily get a passenger car there, the forklift can also get there. We serve North Carolina, South Carolina, Virgina, Maryland and surrounding areas. Note: (Peak season is normally Mar-Aug and may include longer wait times)
Pallet Sod
Pallet sod is most common for residential use beacause it can be installed by hand with very little effort. Each pallet covers 450sq.ft which is the equivalent of an area that is 45x10. To calculate the amount of square footage needed just multiply the length x the width and divide by 450 to find the total pallets needed for the project. Bermuda, Centipede, and Jamur Zoysia can come in both 9sq.ft mini rolls or 3sq.ft squares. Customers can request one or the other at the time of order placement. Please note requests can be made but cannot be guranteed. Other varieties of zoysia and St. Augustine pallets only come in squares and mini rolls can not be requested.
Farm Pick Up By Appointment
Farm fresh pick up is available by appointment here at Cape Fear Turf Farm Inc. Our farm cuts every pallet fresh per order with a minimum purchase of 1/2 a pallet. We offer pick ups for both commercial and residential customers with just a quick phone call a couple days or so in advance depending on peak season. (Peak seaon is normally Mar-Aug and may include longer wait times). Pallets are 4'x4' and can weigh over 2000lbs per pallet depending on rain. 1 pallet can fit in a full size bed of a full size pick up truck for example Ford-150. If using a utilility trailer it should be open and strong enough to carry the weight of your sod.

Big rolled sod is commonly used for large open areas. Big rolls must be installed with the help of a tractor attachment. *Attachments can be rented upon request for use with a 3pt hitch.
